In short
- On October 20, Fortnite posters featuring two anime-style pirates appeared in Madrid’s metro.
- There’s no One Piece character on them. They look like Epic’s own original characters.
- The mini-season starts November 1. A One Piece collab is still an unconfirmed rumor.
The question everyone’s asking: is One Piece coming to Fortnite on November 1? Short answer: nothing’s confirmed, and the posters that just showed up in Madrid raise more questions than they answer.
What do the Madrid metro posters show?
On October 20, Fortnite posters appeared in Madrid’s metro system. They feature two anime-style characters with a cel-shaded look:
- One with black hair, holding a treasure map, asking if you’ve seen the treasure.
- One with turquoise hair, inviting you to join the hunt. This design had already shown up in an Epic skin survey.
Both carry Fortnite’s pirate llama logo. What they don’t have is Luffy, Zoro or anyone else from Eiichiro Oda’s world.
So is there a One Piece collab or not?
For now, it’s a rumor. Back in September, dataminers like SamLeakss and Loolo Leaks found One Piece references in files from a Rocket League update (another Epic game) and pointed to a themed mini-season starting November 1. Loolo even called it “90% confirmed.”
The posters point somewhere else: a pirate season built on Epic’s own characters, a bit like Chapter 1 Season 8. When Epic lands a big license, it usually shows it off from day one, like it did with The Simpsons.
It’s not ruled out, though. There’s a pirate chest on the island that’s been slowly revealing itself, and licensed skins can always drop mid-season.
When does the next Fortnite season start?
- October 31: Chapter 7 Season 4 “Override” ends, along with Fortnitemares.
- November 1: the mini-season begins.
- December 5: Chapter 8 starts, according to leakers.
Why it matters
If you’ve been saving V-Bucks for a Luffy skin, it’s worth waiting to see the Item Shop on November 1 before spending them on something else. And if you’re into pirates, the season looks packed with treasure maps and anime style, One Piece or not.
